BlowYo Ultimate Bubble Blow Job Masturbator Review

I’m always skeptical when a toy claims to feel like the “real thing”, and in this case I was right. But I was still pleasantly surprised! Check out our BlowYo review for the Ultimate Bubble texture.

This month the BlokeToys site released a new range of masturbators for men, the BlowYo collection by Top Co.

I have to confess that Top Co has always been a little under the radar for me when it comes to toys for guys. Unlike companies like Tenga or Fleshlight they don’t tend to design their own or create anything that really stands out from the crowd.

That’s perhaps one of the reasons why I was so interested in the BlowYo when James showed me it and suggested we come back to the blog with a review of one or two in the range. As mentioned, I always get a little suspicious when a toy claims to feel like a real blowjob, or a real ass, but I also know that this claim doesn’t diminish the pleasure you can get from a good toy.

Being one of those guys who likes a lot of texture in their toys I looked through the collection of four stroker designs and settled on the “Ultimate Bubble”.

So, how did it go? And, did it feel “like a real blowjob”? Check out our BlowYo review and see if this toy is for you.

First Look

I admit that I like some good packaging. I try to resist it and claim that I’m disappointed when a company seems to be spending just as much on the packaging as the toy itself, but I have to say that I’m sucked in like the rest of you probably are (excuse the pun) when you see that colorful and shiny design.

Top Co went all out on their packaging for the BlowYo. Not only does each masturbator come in a black plastic twist case for storage in a drawer or under the bed, the thick card packaging is selectively glossy and very high quality.

You get some info on the back about how to use it, with some little pics of the product being enjoyed in cartoon form, with a disembodied mouth and dick present (a little creepy!)

Then comes the tricky part, actually getting into the thing. I feel like such a moron sometimes when I get something like this and have to spend a while trying to get into it without damaging the packaging. Being a reviewer means you kind of unwrap a product like this as though you’re a cheapskate unwrapping a gift at Christmas and wanting to save the paper for something else – there might be info you need and you don’t want to rip it all up.

I failed in this instance. I found the bit at the back that suggested you simply lift up the perforated line and open it, but it tore open the back of the card and ripped up more information that I then couldn’t be bothered to try to read.

After throwing that out I’m left with a very sturdy thick black case that twists open to reveal the BlowYo inside, double wrapped in more plastic.

Once I tore into that I had the BlowYo in my hand, and I was impressed by its weight and thickness.

You’ll need to bear with me here, because it’s going to be a little tricky to explain…

The BlowYo is a translucent silicone doughnut, with two rings of thicker silicone to give it more rigidity.

Basically, it’s like a YoYo (hence the name), with two more solid rings connected by the stretchy silicone tunnel between them.

In its resting state it looks like a YoYo with a hole in the middle lined with nubs, but once you separate the two rings out a little with your hand in the middle it’s more like a trumpet shape, a tunnel between the two rings.

The first thing I noted was that doing this, as intended, makes the tunnel extremely narrow. I’ll get to why that’s important in a moment.

The silicone seems like good quality. The texture is well defined and I couldn’t see any flaws like air bubbles or dents in the silicone.

It really is a sturdy sex toy.

Now comes the real meat and bones of the matter…

Using the BlowYo Ultimate Bubble masturbator

The BlowYo is designed to be used either solo or with a friend. The design isn’t unlike the Fleshlight Quickshot Boost I reviewed. The intent is to be a stroker, but the open-ended design is also intended to make oral with a partner more interesting too.

So, you can either stroke with it solo, or have a partner use it on you while giving you a blow job, as your member slides through it while the texture works your shaft.

James and I wanted to try both options.

I started out using it on myself and soon discovered some design flaws.

As I hinted at earlier, the opening in the middle of this toy is pretty snug even in its relaxed state, but when you put your fist around the stretchy silicone middle between the rings to create that tunnel, it gets even tighter.

Now, I never really considered that my manhood was particularly thick and girthy, but even my modest width had a really hard time (again, excuse the pun) sliding into this thing.

I had to use a lot of lube to make this comfortable, and while it felt good once I was in it, I spent more of my time trying to hold the toy in the desired shape with a slippery hand than actually stroking with it.

It’s really tough to hold this toy open into a tunnel shape and I genuinely thought at one point that I was risking pulling a tendon in my forearm or something.

Ultimately, I gave up attempting to stroke in a traditional way with this toy. You really can’t make a tunnel out of this as it supposedly intends, unless you have a forearm like Arnie and such precise application of lube you don’t lose any grip on the silicone – it’s impossible.

Even if you can endure this grip for a few strokes, you’re so distracted by the effort it takes to make this thing into a tunnel for your manhood you lose any interest in the pleasure it might be giving you.

It’s like eating really great chocolate cake while performing an acrobatic routine on a fifty-foot high-wire – you soon lose interest in the cake.

In the end I used the BlowYo as a “heat pleaser”, enjoying the textured opening in its relaxed form around my tip, sliding it around just enough to deliver some pretty intense pleasure, which soon had me exploding.

The following day James wanted to try it on me in the way intended for partners, sliding it up and down while giving my tip some oral attention.

Unfortunately, even though he has the hands and arms of a lumberjack, he experienced the same problems I experienced.

James is by no means a weak man, he works out three times a week, but even he found it difficult, awkward, a distraction more than a pleasure.

With so much lube needed to make this thing move on my manhood while he was desperately trying to keep it open in his fist long enough to make it worthwhile, it soon became a messy farce. You need so much lube to be able to use this thing that it’s soon everywhere and you can’t keep this toy in the shape you need it to be.

In the end, we gave up on the BlowYo and James got me off in the traditional way.

Conclusion

I had high hopes that this BlowYo review would be a good one, but alas the product didn’t deliver what I was expecting.

It’s an interesting design and something we haven’t seen before, but the BlowYo failed to live up to expectation for us. James used it solo after attempting to use it together and failing to do so, and we both agreed that it’s good as a stroker in its relaxed shape but nothing more.

The claims of it feeling “like a blowjob” are ludicrous in the extreme, but we’ve come to expect that from toys presenting themselves as being able to mimic a real physical encounter.

As a stroker, you’re supposed to be able to stretch it out easily to make a tunnel, but this is pretty much impossible to do for any length of time while remaining comfortable.

It might work for you if you have a slender shaft and Popeye’s grip after downing a can of spinach, but for most of you out there I’m willing to bet you won’t have fun with this toy as it intends.

It’s good as a stroker paying attention to the head of your manhood, swirling it around and jerking it up and down a little over the end, but for that you could do away with all the needless design features that don’t work and get something far more simple, and potentially cheaper too.

It’s disappointing. This toy had some real potential in design, but the narrow hole and the strength needed to separate the rings out to make a sleeve able to be used without potentially causing an injury makes it almost entirely pointless.

The case is nice, something a lot of other toy manufacturers can learn from, but the overall design is too tricky to use comfortably.

My recommendation is that you ignore this product and choose any one of a number of other sleeves. James and I would actually recommend the Fleshlight Quickshot, it functions far better, has a superior design, and allows you to either enjoy it solo as a masturbator or with a partner in oral sex – just as the BlowYo promised, and failed to deliver.

If you want to check it out for yourself, you can buy the BlowYo Ultimate Bubble for £19.99 with free UK delivery from our friends at BlokeToys.
